Secretary-Treasurer

Diana Winther (IBEW 48)

Diana Winther serves as Secretary-Treasurer of the Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Central Labor Council, after filling the roles of President in 2022 and Trustee in 2021.

She is a proud member of IBEW Local 48, which has jurisdiction in Oregon and Southwest Washington, and works on staff as General Counsel. She has also served as the Labor Co-Chair of the Management-Labor Advisory Committee for Workers’ Compensation in Oregon, is currently a Board member of the Oregon Chapter of the Labor and Employment Relations Association, and sits on her Local’s health and welfare trust. Diana joined the Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Central Labor Council because she wanted to directly engage with her Union Sisters, Brothers, and Siblings in her community and create a unified Labor voice when engaging in local matters. She hopes to make the Council a recognizable resource for the unions and other worker-centered organizations throughout the two counties.

When she’s not negotiating contracts, planning actions, or interviewing candidates for political office, Diana enjoys hiking, fishing, hunting for mushrooms, and reading poetry. She resides in Longview with Mike Bridges, who is an amazing labor leader with two awesome teenagers named Mara and Mason. They share a home with Biscuit and Gravy (two slobbery Newfoundlands,) Rambo and Princess Buttercup (two very patient cats,) and Bobo (a Russian tortoise.)
