Join the Cowlitz Wahkiakum Central Labor Council and the Southwest Washington Central Labor Council in celebrating working people throughout our region at the

Labor Day Picnic of Southwest Washington

on Monday, September 7th from 10:30 AM - 3:30 PM at Haydu Park (253 Kalama River Rd, Kalama, WA 98625 - click here for a map!)

We're planning a day filled with food, raffles, and games for union members and their families. Make sure to share this information with your fellow union members - this is a picnic just for them and their families! Tell them to bring their union cards and to wear their union gear so they can share their union pride with everyone at the picnic!

Sponsorships are still available for this year's Labor Day picnic - please download this flier, bring it to your Local's next Executive Board meeting, and encourage them to build solidarity within your Local and across our region by sponsoring this event.

Some important tips to remember as you get ready for the Labor Day Picnic of Southwest Washington:

  • Don’t forget sunscreen!

  • Bring shade! There is a lot of space, but not a lot of shade. Please remember stakes are not allowed at Haydu Park. Bring weights to hold down pop-up tents.

  • Bring your own chairs, tables, and blankets. Some of the unions may provide areas for their members and guests, but we recommend you bring your own.

  • Sorry, no pets - there are no animals allowed at Haydu Park.

  • Entrance, raffle tickets, and food are free, but if you are feeling generous your servers would appreciate a tip!

We're looking forward to seeing you and your family at Haydu park on Labor Day! Need more information?  Feel free to contact us at info@cwclc.org!
