The results of the Nippon Dynawave implosion

While our community grapples with the recent Nippon Dynawave implosion, organized Labor is stepping up to help workers and families impacted by the tragedy.

The Cowlitz Wahkiakum Central Labor Council and the Association of Western Pulp and Paper Workers (AWPPW) have come together to establish a fund at the Lower Columbia Longshoremen's Federal Credit Union that will provide support to APPWU families struggling with financial burdens caused by the implosion.

LCLFCU members can transfer funds directly from their accounts to this fund. Nonmembers can make contributions at LCLFCU's main branch (629 14th Ave, Longview, WA 98632 - click here for a map) or they can mail a check to
